Kliff Kingsbury's tenure as USC offensive coordinator didn't last long. According to reports from ESPN, Kingsbury has bolted from the Trojans to become head coach of the NFL's Arizona Cardinals.

USC hired Kingsbury on Dec. 5, 2018, following his being fired from his HC role by Texas Tech.

Earlier in January, reports circulated that USC was blocking attempts by NFL teams (including the Cardinals) to interview Kingsbury for open head coaching positions. Later reports said that the school had backed down from their opposition to Kingsbury being interviewed.

Texas Tech went 35-40 during Kingsbury's six-season tenure as head coach, going 1-2 in postseason bowl appearances.
