Mike Riley is an ex-Nebraska head coach.

Mile Riley is an ex-head coach. Nebraska fired Riley, the head coach of the Cornhuskers on Saturday, a day following an embarrassing 56-14 loss to Iowa on Friday.

Riley was 4-8 this season, with a 19-19 overall record in his three years as Nebraska head coast.

In a statement issued by the school, Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos stated that “Mike Riley has brought tremendous professionalism and energy to the Nebraska football program, but unfortunately, those attributes have not translated to on-field success.”

Nebraska linebackers coach Trent Bray has been picked to serve as the Cornhuskers interim head coach.
