Jalen Hurd is an ex-Vol. The Tennessee running back has decided to transfer out of the Volunteer football program.
Tennessee head football coach Butch Jones announced Hurd's decision to transfer to the media during a press conference on Monday.
"Jalen has informed me that he intends to transfer, and I support him on that," Davis said. "I'm very, very thankful for everything that he's done for our football program, but it's all about our football program and our football team and moving forward from this point forward."
According to Knoxville, Tennessee sports talk station WNML, Hurd reportedly wished to switch positions from RB to either wide receiver to tight end.
Hurd rushed for 1,288 yards with 12 touchdowns in 2015, but has struggled with an injury-plagued season in 2016.
