LSU fires Les Miles, names Ed Orgeron as interim head coach.

The Baton Rouge Advocate has reported that LSU has fired head coach Les Miles. Miles has served as the Tigers' head coach since 2005. Ed Orgeron, who had been serving as Miles defensive coordinator, was named as interim head coach.



In addition to Miles, LSU has also fired Miles' offensive coordinator, Cam Cameron.

LSU has named Ed Orgeron, who had previously served as Miles' defensive coordinator, as interim head coach.

The firing of Miles comes a day after LSU was beaten by SEC West rival Auburn 18-13.

Miles had a 114-34 record at LSU. He led the Tigers to the 2007 BCS title. He also won two SEC Conference Titles, three SEC West Division Titles, and one other BCS title game apprarance.
