Surprise! Alabama Is Atop The Pre-Season AP Top 25 Poll.


The AP 2016 preseason Top 25 Poll out and - suprise! - Alabama is the preseason no. 1. 



Clemson, the team Alabama beat for the 2015 College Football Playoff title, is in at second, followed by Oklahoma, Florida State, and LSU.

On the outside looking in at the top five are perennial Big Ten rivals Ohio State and Michigan at six and seven followed by 2015 Pac-12 champion Stanford at eight.

Tennessee is the third SEC team in the top ten at nine, followed by independent-but-has-a-FWB-relationship-with-the-ACC Notre Dame at ten.

Houston is the first Group of Five conference member at no. 15.
