Georgia Tech Adds 3-Star CB Tre Swilling To Its 2017 Recruiting Class.

Georgia Tech's 2017 recruiting class has its 12 member. New Orleans, Louisiana high school senior cornerback Tre Swilling committed to the Yellow Jackets on Monday.

Swilling is the son of former  Ga. Tech linebacker and College Football Hall of Fame member Pat Swilling The elder Swilling was a five-time NFL Pro Bowler who played for the New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, and Oakland Raiders.  Pat Swilling retired in 1998, and later served as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2001 to 2004.

247Sports grades Swilling as a composite three-star cornerback prospect. The recruiting website ranks Swilling at no. 43 among 2017 CB prospects, at no. 16 among 2017 prospects from the state of Louisiana, and at no. 411 among 2017 prospects nationally.

Swilling attends Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, La. He stands 6'0, and weighs 180 lbs.
