TCU has added a twentieth commitment to its 2017 recruiting class. Defensive end/wide receiver Branden Bowen committed to the Horned Frogs on Wednesday.
Bowen was formerly committed to Baylor, but was granted release from his national letter of intent by the school on July 1. He will be eligible to participate for the 2016 college football season.
247Sports.com grades Bowen as a composite four-star weak-side defensive end. The recruiting website ranks Bowen at no. 12 among 2016 weak-side DE prospects, at no. 23 among 2016 prospects from the state of Texas, and at no. 147 in its national composite rankings of 2016 prospects.
Bowen attended Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Tx. He stands 6'5, and weighs 227 lbs.
