Ohio State's Adolphus Washington won't be seeing any playing time in the Buckeyes' upcoming trip to the 2016 Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona. Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer has suspended Washington following the defensive tackle being cited for solicitation by Columbus police.
In a statement from the school, Meyer said that Washington has been “suspended from playing in Ohio State’s upcoming bowl game (on Jan. 1 vs. Notre Dame) for violating team policy.”
Washington reportedly had a weapon on his person when he incident on Wednesday occurred. Washington has a license to carry a firearm, but he still reportedly broke on of Meyer's cardinal rules (or are those scarlet?) which are described by The Columbus Dispatch's Tim May as being "no drugs or alcohol abuse; no weapons; treat women with respect; and be honest at all times."
