It wouldn't be the break between the regular season and the bowls without at least one player getting in trouble with the law, and this one is a doozy. Ohio State defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was cited by Columbis, Ohio police for first-degree misdemeanor solicitation.
Columbus television station FOX 28 first reported the story Thursday afternoon. There aren't many details of the incident, other than Washington has a court date scheduled for Dec. 17.
A spokesman for Ohio St. says that discipline regarding Washington "will be handled internally."
Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer was reportedly traveling when the incident happened, according to Cleveland.com, but is expected to address the issue when he returns to the school on Friday.
Ohio St. is scheduled to face Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1.
