If you've always wanted to see Steven Spielberg direct a Disney movie based on a Ronald Dahl book, then you're dreams are about to come true. "About" in this case meaning in about seven months.

In the meantime, you'll have to do with this teaser for The BFG. It's the long-awaited first Disney film directed by Spielberg. It's based on Ronald Dahl's 1982 children's novel about a young orphan girl named Sophie, who befriends a Big Friendly Giant (BFG, get it?). The two team up to warn the Queen of England about an impending threat from some big and rather unfriendly giants.

Ruby Barnhill plays Sophie, Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies) plays the BFG, and Bill Hader (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) plays one of the unfriendly giants.

The BFG is scheduled for release on July 1, 2016.
