Minnesota Head Coach Jerry Kill Retiring Because Of Health Reasons.

Minnesota has announced that Jerry Kill is retiring from his position as the school's head football coach. Medical reasons are given as the reason for the retirement, which is to take effect immediately.

Exact details regarding Kill's current health situation have not been released. Kill has battled epilepsy over the past several years, and has suffered seizures while on the sidelines during games on several occasions.

Kill served five seasons as Minnesota head coach, and has a 29-29 record.

Minnesota defensive coordinator and associate head coach Tracy Clayes will serve as interim head coach

The Golden Gophers will host Michigan this coming Saturday.
