Al Golden fired, is an ex-Miami coach.

Remember in today's "Welcome to the Fallout" how I mentioned that Miami athletic director Blake James said the school had no plans to fire head coach Al Golden following the Hurricanes' 58-0 loss to Clemson? Well guess what? Miami has announced that it has fired Al Golden.

"University of Miami Director of Athletics Blake James announced today that he has relieved Head Football Coach Al Golden of his duties effective immediately. Assistant coach Larry Scott will serve as the Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2015 season."

Golden had a record of 32-25 in his five seasons with Miami. He led the Hurricanes to two bowl games in 2013 and 2014. The team lost to Louisville in the 2013 Citrus Bowl, and lost to South Carolina in the 2014 Independence Bowl.
