Excitable Boykin.
TCU starting quarterback Trevone Boykin is ranked at no. 5 in ESPN's #CFBRank list of the top 100 players in college football. He's the only Big 12 player to make the list's top ten. The only other Big 12 player to make the top 20 is Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine at no. 18.

Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can't We?
Pat Forde ranks Boykin at no. 3 on his list of "College Football's Most Intriguing Quarterbacks of 2015." The battle for the Ohio State starting QB job takes up both the no.1 and no. 2 spots on Forde's list, so make out of that as you will.  "The Yet To Be Named Starter at Oklahoma" makes the list at no. 13, while Baylor's Seth Russell comes in at no. 23. Hey man, you disrespecting me?
The Smoking Musket investigates why West Virginia safety Karl Joseph wasn't included in ESPN's #CFBrank list . This happened despite Joseph being named by NFL.com's Mike Huguenin as the most physical player in college football, and being named by Big 12 players as the player from another school int the conference that they would to play for their team.

The difficult we do immediately. The impossible takes a little longer.
Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops on the ongoing competition for the Sooner starting QB position between Trevor Knight and Baker Mayfield: "We can't force it until it's earned." (College Football Talk)

Disappointed a few people?
Ryan Nanni names Texas and Oklahoma as "the country's most disappointing (college) football programs." Considering that the Longhorns and Sooners share the country with Georgia, Nebraska, and Michigan, that's saying a lot. (SB*Nation)
