Former international soccer star David Beckham and Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber met with outgoing University of Miami president Donna Shalala regarding the possibility of the league and the school teaming up to sharing a proposed stadium near Marlins Park in Miami. The Hurricanes currently play their home games at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fl.

Former Kansas State All-Americans Michael Bishop, Jordy Nelson, Clarence Scott, and Darren Sproles will be have their names entered into the school's Ring of Honor. The ceremony will be held at the halftime of the Wildcats' season opening game hosting South Dakota on Sept. 5. (The San Antonio Express-News)
