The city of Morgantown, WV has had enough with West Virginia University students and their penchant for burning things following football and basketball games. The city council has taken the draconian measure of banning outdoor upholstered furniture within the city limits.

According to Morganville City Manager Jeff Mikorski, there have been "over 3,000 street fires because of the quick ability to bring furniture from porches and put it into the streets and put them on fire."

Violators of the new ordinance will get a written warning from before the being hit with a citation that could go as high as $500 dollars.
