Jonathan Taylor won't be reinstated at Alabama despite accuser recanting domestic violence allegations.

The accuser in the domestic violence case against Jonathan Taylor has recanted he accusations she made the former Alabama defensive tackle. She has since been arrested for giving a false report to the police. Despite this development, the both the school and head coach Nick Saban says Taylor will not be reinstated. 

In a statement regarding the case, Alabama vice president of university relations Deborah Lane stated that "Jonathan Taylor is no longer a student at The University of Alabama and is not eligible for readmission,"

In a statement to, Saban said "That decision (on Taylor's status) has already been made. He won't be back with us."

Taylor was arrested on March 29 on domestic violence charges. He was dismissed from Georgia in 2014 following an domestic violence arrest unrelated to the current charges. He had previously been arrested with three other Georgia players on charges of theft by deception.

A spokesman for Tuscaloosa County Police says that Taylor's case is still "being reviewed," and that "the investigation is still ongoing."
