Is Hugh Freeze staying at Ole Miss? (UPDATE: Yes.)

Hugh Freeze may be out of the running for the job of head coach at Florida, or anywhere besides his current school Ole Miss, for that matter.

SB*Nation's Steve Godfrey is reporting that Freeze and Ole Miss have agreed to a new contract extension that bumps his yearly salary to $4 million. Freeze had reportedly been sought after by Florida to replace the recently departed Will Muschamp as HC of the Gators.

SI.com is the only other major site claiming the deal is done between Freeze and Ole Miss. Bruce Feldman at FOX Sports reports Freeze and the school are merely "close to agreeing to a new deal."

Freeze is in his third year as Ole Miss head coach. The Rebels went 9-3 during the regular season in 2014.

(UPDATE): Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork announced via Twitter confirming that Freeze and the school have reached a new deal on an extension on Freeze's contract.
