University of Michigan board of regents to discuss Wolverine athletic director Dave Brandon job performance during meeting on Thursday.

Is Dave Brandon's hot seat about to get hotter? The University of Michigan Board of regents is set to discuss the recent controversies surrounding the embattled Michigan athletic director, who has come under fire for the football programs lackluster record, dwindling attendance at Wolverine home games, and how treatment for the head injury to Wolverine quarterback Shane Morris in the loss to Minnesota was handled.

The board of regents cannot fire Brandon, but can give their recommendations to University of Michigan president Mark S. Schlissel, who took office on July 1 of this year.

The board will discuss Brandon's job performance as part of its regularly-scheduled meeting on Thursday.
