If you were looking for one more use for the phrase "taking his talents to South Beach," then your in luck. The former Kansas quarterback Jake Heaps is transferring to Miami for the 2014 season.

Miami announced the signing of the oft-traveled former Heaps in a press release Sunday.

"Kansas QB Jake Heaps has signed a financial aid agreement and will transfer to the University of Miami, head coach Al Golden announced Sunday.

Heaps spent his junior season in 2013 with the Jayhawks, earning second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors. He was voted as one of the team captains. He played in 11 games, starting nine, and threw for 1,414 yards with eight TDs."

Heaps began his college football career at BYU in 2010, but transferred to Kansas after the 2011 season. Heaps struggled in 2013, having sat out the 2012 season because of NCAA rules.

Fortunately for Heaps and The U, he won't have to sit out the 2014 season, having graduated from Kansas this month.
