NCAA Rules Committee tables vote on controversial "ten-second rule."

Fans of the hurry-up no huddle offense can breathe a little easier now. The NCAA Rules Committee has table the proposal to slow down HUNH -style offenses with the so called "ten-second rule" which was supposed to be voted on tomorrow.

The proposal was very unpopular among college football coaches, with coaches such as Auburn's Gus Malzahn (who coaches a HUNH offense), and Georgia's Mark Richt (who doesn't) criticizing the rule. Alabama head coach Nick Saban was one of the few supporters of the rule change.
