Is Mack Brown an ex-Texas football coach?

Sources to ESPN and Orangebloods' are claiming that Mack Brown's days as Texas head football coach may be over. Both are reporting that Brown will resign by the end of the week earlier on Tuesday. This despite the fact that Brown has denied he was leaving the school after 16 seasons as head coach.

Talks are reportedly underway between the school and Brown's agent, Joe Jamall regarding the details of Brown's exit.

Brown has been Texas' coach since 1998. He is 158-47 as the Longhorns' head coach and led the team to the 2005 season BCS title with over over USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl.
