Butch Jones makes some noise at Tennessee to help Vols deal with distractions.

Tuesday's spring practice at Tennessee featured first-year Volunteers head football coach Butch Jones trying to see how his team handled distractions of the audio kind. This is always a good idea when you're team is having to deal with crowds at enemy stadiums.

While some coaches use crowd noise or louder-than-necessary music, Jones took a more unique approach. He piped in noises more annoying than anything a Direct TV commercial could come up with, such as sirens, crying babies, and car alarms.

Jones defended his actions after practice, saying “I like annoying noises.” Which is probably a good thing, as Tennessee's  Pride of the Southland marching band playing "Rocky Top" over and over again is quite possibly the most annoying noise on Earth. With the possible exception of WWE RAW general manager Vivki Guerrero's voice, that is.
