Georgia's John Jenkins will miss Capital One Bowl for "academic reasons."

From the "things Mark Richt didn't need to happen before a bowl game" comes news that Georgia senior nose guard John Jenkins will miss the 2013 Capital One Bowl for "academic reasons."  It would have been the last game of Jenkins college career.

"Nose guard John Jenkins won’t play in the Capital One Bowl because of an “academic-related” issue, ending his college career, coach Mark Richt said.

“He will not be at the bowl,” Richt said Wednesday afternoon as the team arrived at the Renaissance Orlando Hotel.

Richt said there were no other academic casualties for the bowl."

The loss of Jenkins will make it tougher for the Dawgs to hold off Capital One Bowl opponent Nebraska's offense.
