David Cutcliffe staying at Duke, will not seek Tennessee HC job.

If you had Duke head football David Cutcliffe in your pool for who Tennessee will pick to replace Derek Dooley you can forget about it. Cutcliffe has announced he's staying at Duke for at least another year.

"After leading Duke to its first bowl berth since 1994, coach David Cutcliffe isn’t going anywhere.
"I can tell you right now that I'm going to be coaching at Duke next year,” he said. “I'm very happy here, and this is where I’m going to be.

“I can put that to rest because that’s a fact.”

Cutcliffe made a smart move. Although a logical and rational  choice for the Tennessee job with his ties to the school (he served as an assistant coach under Phil Fulmer), there is going to be a part of the fanbase that sees him as being "not Jon Gruden." That would bound to lead to a very difficult coach-fan relationship.
