"After leading Duke to its first bowl berth since 1994, coach David Cutcliffe isn’t going anywhere.
"I can tell you right now that I'm going to be coaching at Duke next year,” he said. “I'm very happy here, and this is where I’m going to be.
“I can put that to rest because that’s a fact.”
Cutcliffe made a smart move. Although a logical and rational choice for the Tennessee job with his ties to the school (he served as an assistant coach under Phil Fulmer), there is going to be a part of the fanbase that sees him as being "not Jon Gruden." That would bound to lead to a very difficult coach-fan relationship.
