A.J. McCarron is keeping his mouth shut about Tyrann Mathieu.

A.J. McCarron got into a notorious spat on Twitter with ex-LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu during the summer. This after he and the Crimson Tide managed to make the Honey Badger look human in the BCS title game back on  Jan. 9. So what did the Alabama quarterback have to say about Mathieu's  fall from grace in Baton Rouge? Not much, which is probably a good thing.

"McCarron took the high road then and didn't swerve from that course Monday. As a sign of his continuing maturity, he provided the perfect non-answer to the departure of the man he saw in person as a non-factor.

"That's not for me to even have a thought process on," McCarron said. "I'm worried about our own team."

You could easily read between the lines in McCarron's statement to read something like "I've grown up during the summer. Maybe you (Mathieu) should too." Or possibly something a little more crass as a translation into football speak of Jay-Z's "I got 99 problems, but a (you know what he said) ain't one..." lyric. Or McCarron could be simply telling the truth in that it just doesn't matter to him any more. It's all of the above in all probability.
