RIcky Stanzi's Last Dance: A retrospective.

Tuesday night's Insight Bowl will feature Iowa going up against Missouri. It will be notable for being the last appearance of America's Quarterback, Ricky Stanzi, in a meaningful college football game. (If you can call the Insight Bowl "meaningful," that is.) It's probably not the game either Stanzi or Iowa wanted to appear in at the end of the 2010 season, but that's how the ball bounces.
Stanzi shot to national prominence in the 2010 Orange Bowl as much for his off-the-field fervor for America than the Hawkeyes' on-the-field shellacking of Georgia Tech. As the year went on, the patriotic aspect of Stanzi took on a mind it it's own. With that in mind, here is a brief look back of the phenomenon that is America's Quarterback.

The postgame interview that started it all:

The Manzi's explanation of the comment months later.

Stanzi's back tattoo, which Tyler Brays back stamp wants to grow up to be like.

One of the multiple mash-ups involving Hulk Hogan's entrance music.

Stanzi comparing throwing interceptions to  watching a flag burning.

Iowa embracing the whole darn thing.

And a little video to show there's more than just talk to America's Quarterback.
