Covering Dixie Like Mildew: Urban Meyer, Auburn's BCS chances, Mark Richt, and more

(Covering Dixie Like Mildew is the SWRT roundup of SEC  news, with the occasional pesky Southern school from another conference.)

Is Urban Meyer overrated? As a football tactician, maybe. But his real strength according to Chuck Oliver ("The King of College Football) is in recruiting and hiring the best talent for his coaching staff. (

If Auburn goes undefeated, a BCS screwjob like 2004 isn't possible. It's due more due to the perception of the stregnth of the SEC, as opposed to any internal mechanics of the BCS. It also won't happen since it's doubtful that Auburn will actually go undefeated this season. (

Are the Georgia Bulldogs listening to their coach? Mark Richt sent a strong message to his players about getting their act together. The big questing is whether or not the team is listening to him. (Athens Banner-Herald)

Is Les Miles "The Most Interesting Man In the World?" Uh, no. (

Do the Florida Gators miss Dan Mullen? Probably. (ESPN)

What if the SEC and college football were an RPG? It's amazing what can develop from an open thread. (Rocky Top Talk)
