Big Tentacles: Wisconsin, Denard Robinson, and more.

(Big Tentacles is the SWRT look at the Big 10 and the teams it not-so-secretly covets.)

Does Wisconsin have an identity crisis? Wisconsin's collapse against Michigan State might be a sign that the Badgers' identity as a running game team might be in jeopardy. (The Badger Herald, Bucky's 5th Quarter)

Denard Robinson is the "right fit" for Michigan. Because Ivan Maisel says so. (ESPN)

Why can't I be you? Illinois' middle linebacker Martez Wilson wants to be like former Illini linebacker J Leman. Which either means he wants to be a journeyman player in the NFL, or a pre-incarnation of a future Ricky Stanzi at Iowa. (Or are Leman and Stanzi one in the same?) (Chicago Tribune)

I hate you, you hate me. Purdue and Iowa will become inter-division rivals in 2011. But that's not stopping Hammer and Rails and Black Heart Gold Pants from spreading the hate a little early. (The two teams don't meet this year, BTW). My money's on BHGP in this battle.

Speaking of Purdue, The Boilermakers have a new "interim mascot."

And if Perry doesn't work out.  Georgia's probably willing to dump Russ the Substitute Bulldog on them.
