Post Week-2 College Football Playoff Projections: Round up the usual suspects (along with TCU and Wisconsin).

College Football Bowl Projections
Week Two of the 2018 college football season is over, and it’s time to see what the pundits thin the 2019 College Football Playoff will look like. Don’t expect many deviations from what you would expect the CFP picture to look like, though. The projections all have Clemson in the CFP, with some combination of Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Oklahoma rounding out the four-team playoff.

If you’re a Pac-12 fan, you might want to stop reading this now, as no one has a represenative from the Conference of Champions heading to the CFP this postseason.

Auburn vs. TCU

Kirk is being as rebellious as you would expect a member of the Shutdown Fullcast podcast crew to be. This projction only becomes possible if Auburn goes undefeated, beating both Alabama and Georgia in the regular season, and then winning the SEC Championship Game (and probably having to defeat Georgia again.)

As for TCU, the possibility of the Horned Frogs managing to sneak past Big 12 favorite Oklahoma to win the 2018 Big 12 Conference title is doable, but earning a spot in the CFP most likely hinges on beating Ohio St. in Columbus this coming Saturday.

Bonagura stays close to home with conventional wisdom, but leaves the Pac-12 out of the CFP picture.

Sherman throws the second big curve ball in Week 2 with a projection of Wisconsin beating out Ohio St. for the Big Ten title. The sad news for TCU fans is that beating the Buckeyes would possibly help the Badgers chances to make the CFP more than it would help the Horned Frogs' own playoff chances.

Palm goes the safe route, projceing the cuttrent powers in CFP all to make it through the regular season relatively unscathed.

The Big 12 and the Pac-12 are the big losers here, as College Football News hands the SEC two projected spots in the CFP. A lot needs to happen to make this scenerio happen for the second year in a row, both inside and outside the SEC.
