Alabama running back Najee Harris made a name for himself during the 2018 College Football Playoff title game with a six carries for 64 yards performance.

The performance wasn't enough to keep Harris from considering transferring out of the Alabama football program, however.

In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Harris said he considered transferring because of the lack of playing time during the 2017 season, among other issues.

“The only thing I can tell you is, I hope I’m on the field more,” Harris said. “Last year was the worst feeling. That whole season was mentally challenging.”

In the interview, Harris described having to adapt to both the humid climate of the Southern US, and with his studies.

Harris eventually decided against transferring after his discussions with his family, and with Alabama head coach Nick Saban and RB coach Burton Burns.
