TCU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma St. are bowl eligible.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have joined TCU in the bowl eligibility. Iowa State and West Virginia could join them in Week 9, though it won't be easy.

Bowl projections are via Jerry Palm of CBS Sports.

Six or more wins (Bowl eligible)

TCU (7-0, conference 4-0)

Next three games

Oct. 28 @ Iowa State

Nov. 4 vs. Texas

Nov. 11 @ Oklahoma

It's hard to think of a time where a Texas team could be thought as the most beatable of a group of three opponents. That's where TCU finds itself at as it continues its quest for both a conference title, and the CFP title.

Projected bowl

2018 Peach Bowl (Jan. 1, 2018, Atlanta, Ga.)

Projected opponent

South Florida

Did TCU join the Big 12 for this?

Oklahoma (6-1, conference 3-1)

Next three games

Oct. 28 vs. Texas Tech

Nov. 4 @ Oklahoma State

Nov. 11 vs. TCU

The Bedlam rivalry game facing Oklahoma State is always a must-win, whether or not a national title is on the line. The Nov. 11 game against TCU could have all kinds of College Football Playoff ramifications.

Projected bowl

2017 Cotton Bowl Classic (Dec. 29, Arlington, TX.)

Projected opponent

According to Jerry Palm's most recent projections. USC would be the only Pac-12 representative among the CFP Selection Committee bowl games.

Oklahoma State (6-1, conference 3-1)

Next three games

Oct. 28 @ West Virginia

Nov. 4 vs Oklahoma

Nov. 11 @ Iowa State

Bedlam will be where either Oklahoma or Oklahoma St. will be knocked out of CFP contention. If the Cowboys can get a win over West Virginia.

Five wins (Magic number: 1)

Iowa State (5-2, conference 3-1)

Next three games

Oct. 28 vs. TCU

Nov. 4 @ West Virginia

Nov. 11 vs. Oklahoma St.

Iowa St. has had quite a comeback following a 3-9 season in 2016. It's too bad that this three-week stretch could send the Cyclones back to the .500 zone.

Projected bowl

2017 Liberty Bowl (Dec. 30, Memphis, TN.)

Projected opponent

Mississippi State

Iowa St. vs. Miss. St. sounds like it could be a good game.

West Virginia (5-2, conference 3-1)

Next three games

Oct. 28 vs. Oklahoma St.

Nov. 4 vs. Iowa St.

Nov. 11 @ Kansas State

It would be surprising if West Virginia didn't get a sixth win during this three game stretch.

Projected bowl

2017 Alamo Bowl (Dec. 28, San Antonio, TX.)

Projected opponent

A West Virginia vs. Washington Alamo Bowl sounds it could be a good game.

Four wins (Magic number: 2)

Texas Tech (4-3, conference 1-3)

Next three games

Oct. 28 @ Oklahoma

Nov. 4 vs. Kansas St.

Nov. 11 vs. Baylor

A win against either Kansas St. and/or Baylor would be the best thing for The Red Raiders here.

Projected bowl

2017 Cactus Bowl (Dec. 27, Tempe, AZ.)

Projected opponent

Texas Tech has a 26-4-2 record against Arizona. Their last meeting was in 1989, where the Red Raiders defeated the Wildcats 24-14

Three wins (Magic number: 3)

Texas (3-4, conference 2-2)

Next three games

Oct. 28 @ Baylor

Nov. 4 @ TCU

Nov. 11 Kansas

The good news for Texas is that the games with Baylor and Kansas should be wins for the Longhorns.

Projected bowl

2017 Camping World Bowl (Dec. 28, Orlando FL.)

Projected opponent

Virginia Tech

Of the three bowl games held in Orlando in 2017, this is one of them,

Kansas State (3-4, conference 1-3)

Next three games

Oct. 28 @ Kansas

Nov. 4 @ Texas Tech

Nov. 11 vs. West Virginia

Kansas State's final two games are @ Oklahoma St. on Nov. 18, and hosting Iowa St, on Nov. 25.

Projected bowl

2017 Texas Bowl (Dec. 27, Houston, TX.)

Projected opponent

Texas A&M

The big question here is whether Kevin Sumlin will be Texas A&M's head coach when this game comes around.
