Ten college football teams are one win away from being bowl eligible. The bad news for four of those teams, group, they're not getting that win next week.
For Tennessee and Texas A&M, it will be because the two 5-0 SEC programs will face each other in Week 6, and only one can remain undefeated and click their ticket bowl eligibility. Two other teams, Nebraska and Baylor, have byes for Week 6, and will have to wait for Week 7 for their shot at bowl eligibility.
Tennessee and Texas A&M join six other undefeated schools - Alabama, Clemson, Houston, Michigan, Washington, and Western Michigan with a chance to become bowl eligible in Week 6. So as many as seven of those schools could be on their way to the postseason by late Saturday night/early Sunday morning.
To qualify for SWRT's Bowl Eligibility Watch, a team must have at least three wins. That's half the wins needed to be bowl eligible under NCAA regulations. Sixty-nine teams have at least three wins this season. The number is up from 44 teams with three wins last week.
