It's the eve of Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen's appearance at SEC Media Days, and it looks like he'll have something to talk about besides his shoes. The school has announced that fifth-year senior defensive end Deontay Evans has decided to transfer to another school.
Dr. Saturday's Sam Cooper notes that while Evans had appeared in 39 games in his three-year career at Mississippi St., he "was unlikely to crack MSU’s starting lineup."
Evans made 86 tackles, five defended passes, and one forced fumble in his career at Mississippi St.
It's unclear at this time whether Evans has earned a degree at Mississippi St., which would allow him to play next season.
