Drug Charges Against Two Alabama Players Dropped Due To Lack Of Evidence...And Air Conditioning.

Drug possession charges against Alabama offensive lineman Cam Robinson and defensive back Hootie Jones have been dropped

Robinson and Jones were arrested in Monroe, La. in May after police reportedly discovered narcotics and a handgun in Robinson's car.

Monroe, La. District Attorney Jerry Jones cited lack of evidence for not going forward with the case against Robinson and Jones, along with this quaint little bit of reasoning:

"I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning," Jones told KNOE."

Needless to say, the sports media had a little bit to say about DA Jones' decision.
