From the "He's Just Not Into You" department comes word that Amari Rodgers, a four-star high school junior wide receiver and the son of USC WR coach Tee Martiin,  has decommitted from USC's 2017 recruiting class.

Rodgers announced his decision via Twitter on Wednesday, saying while USC was still one of his top choices, he wanted to "choose where I will be attending college without being committed."

Rodgers also posted on Twitter that his decision to decommit had no relation to his father's future at USC. Martin is a WR coach and recruiter at USC, and was one of five assistant coaches that were retained by Clay Helton, whom the school promoted from interim to full-time head coach last week.

247Sports grades Rodgers as a composite four-star wide receiver. The recruiting site ranks Rodgers no. 7 among 2017 prospects from the state of Tennessee, at no. 36 among 2017 WR prospects, and at no. 240 in its national composite rankings.

Rodgers attends Knoxville Catholic High School in Knoxville, Tn. He stands 5'10, and weighs 195 lbs.
