Georgia fans can breathe a little easier. Jacob Eason, the highly-touted five star-high school senior quarterback, announced on Tuesday that he was still committed to the UGA football program.

Speculation had continued to grow exponentially throughout the 2015 season that Eason might decommit from Georgia, then just plain exploded following the school's firing of former head coach Mark Richt, and its hiring of former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart as Richt's replacement.

247 Sports grades Eason as a five-star pro-style quarterback. The recruiting site ranks Eason at no. 1 among 2016 pro-style QB prospects, at no. 1 among 2016 prospects from the state of Washington, and at no. 4 in its composite rankings of 2016 prospects nationally.

Eason attends Lake Stephens Senior High School in Lake Stevens, Wa. He stands 6'5, and weighs 217 lbs.
