It looks like Benedict Cumberbatch won't be done playing with magic after starring in Marvel's Doctor Strange. The actor will reportedly play British illusionist Jasper Maskelyne in the World War II drama The War Magician.
Based on the fact-based novel by David Fisher, The War Magician tells the story of Maskelyne, a magician who allegedly aided the British war effort by creating sleight-of-hand illusions to fool the Nazis.
Gary Whitta, screenwriter for The Book of Eli and the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is adapting the book for the screen.
