Sept. 4 will mark a sort of homecoming for Washington head coach Chris Petersen. The Huskies will travel to Boise State, where Petersen coached from 2006-2013, to open the 2015 season against the Broncos.

Taking his turn through the ESPN Pac-12 Car Wash, Petersen described his mixed feelings toward returning to the infamous blue turf where he made his name in college football.
“I’m not looking forward to it because I recruited so many of those kids,” Petersen said during his time running through the ESPN car wash, adding that, when it comes to the kind of reception he’ll get for his homecoming, he understands the boo birds will be out.“They’re fans, they’re gonna boo me,” said the coach. “But it’s such a great place.”
This will be Petersen's second year as Washington head coach. The Huskies went 8-6 in 2014, and lost to Oklahoma State in the 2014 Cactus Bowl. Boise St. went 12-2, and defeated Arizona in the 2014 Fiesta Bowl.
