Ohio State has dropped the banhammer on four players. Buckeye defensive end Joey Bosa, wide receivers Jalin Marshall and Corey Smith, and running back Dontre Wilson have all been suspended for  the first game of the season against Virginia Tech on Sept. 7.

Isaac Nauta, a rising high school senior who currently attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl., announced his decommitment from FSU on Tuesday via Twitter.

Florida is having one of those good news/bad news kind of days. The good news is the commitment of four-star outside linebacker prospect Jeremiah Moon to the Gators' 2016 recruiting class. The bad news is that two current on the Florida roster have found themselves facing misdemeanor charges involving failure to pay their tab at a bowling alley in Gainesville, FL.

It looks like the ongoing quarterback controversy at Oho State just got a little less complicated. Braxton Miller has reportedly made the decision to switch positions from QB to wide receiver.

The "shoe wars" among SEC Coaches just about ate SEC Media Days last week. Put the blame on Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen, who used the event to rock a pair of Yeezy kicks (Miss. St. is an Adidas-affiliated school). The move was countered by Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema with a pair of obscenely blinged-up Nike Air Force Ones. Ole Miss' Hugh Freeze and LSU's Les Miles eventually got caught up in the fray.

Nick Saban reveals details of decision to leave the Miami Dolphins to coach Alabama.

From the "If Mama ain't happy, then nobody's happy" department comes confirmation from Nick Saban that it was his wife, Terry Saban, that helped convinced him to leave the Miami Dolphins head coaching job for the one at Alabama.

Alabama has added another four-star prospect to its 2016 recruiting class. Morganton, N.C. rising senior running back committed to the Crimson Tide on Monday. 

Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel wants to bar independent college football programs from the College Football Playoff.

Gary Pinkel is in the lead for the Hottest Take coming out of the SEC "Car Wash" today. Speaking at the WWL's home base in Bristol, CN., the Missouri head coach has declared that he doesn't believe independent college football programs (notably Notre Dame) shouldn't be allowed to compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Connor Senger is an ex-Wisconsin wide receiver.

From the "He's just not that into you" dept. comes word that Wisconsin wide receiver Connor Senger is transferring from the school. He will reportedly transfer to Division III school University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Louisville has added a twelfth member to its 2016 recruiting class. Columbus, GA. rising senior quarterback Jawon Pass committed to the Cardinals on Thursday.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt introduced his new "lean and mean" shaved head look at SEC Media Days on Thursday. The newly-buzzed down to the skin Richt described the look as "a summer cut that got a little carried away."

The names are gone in Penn State. The Nittany Lions will return to the tradition of not putting the names of players on the back of their jerseys for the 2015 season.

Mark Richt will be looking a little more aerodynamic when he appears at SEC Media Days on Thursday. The Georgia head coach has apparently gotten himself a buzzcut, as this photo that appeared on Twitter would indicate. It looks like he got his hair buzzed down with at least a no. 2. guard.

The "brutally honest" news of the day comes from SEC Media Days in Hoover, Al. In his media session on Tuesday, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin explained exactly why he hired first year Aggies defensive coordinator John Chavis away from LSU.

Texas A&M releases hype video for 2015 season.

Texas A&M has released a hype video for its 2015 college football season. Well, they're referring to it as a "pump up video," because the Aggies have this thing of trying hard to look like they're different from every other school.

The video includes the usual highlights of the previous (2014) season, clips of the Aggies' training in strength and conditioning sessions, and overly dramatic music with extra-overly dramatic Inception-style drops.

The freshman quarterback was dismissed by the school Monday evening, a few hours after the Florida state attorney's office released footage of the June 24 incident where Johnson allegedly punched a woman in the face during an altercation at a bar in Tallahassee, Fl.
