One down, three to go: Oregon all but clinches a place in the College Football Playoff.

Oregon defeated Arizona in the Pac-12 Championship game on Friday night. In doing so, it all but guaranteed the Ducks a spot in the first College Football Playoff.

Barring nefarious doings from the Illuminati College Football Playoff Committee, Oregon is the first of the four top teams in the CFP standings to clinch a spot in the playoffs. If the other three teams (Alabama, TCU, and Florida State) win out and rankings stay as they were following Week 15, Oregon will be ranked second.

Oregon's final ranking, of course all depends on what the other three teams do, and whether or not the CFP Committee decide to a)switch out TCU with Baylor, and b) decide that Florida State's ACC title game performance just wasn't good enough for the CFP.
