Missouri QB Maty Mauk collides with Steve Spurrier on the sidelines.

Missouri starting quarterback Maty Mauk had a run-in on the sidelines with South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier during the Tigers' 21-20 upset win over the Gamecocks. Literally.

The run-in was reminiscent of last week's near collision between SMU wide receiver Der'rikk Thompson and Texas A&M mascot Miss Reveille, averted by one of her Texas A&M Corps of Cadets handlers.  Only The Old Ball Coach wasn't so lucky.

Consider this: A dog mascot apparently has better security than the dean of SEC head coaches. What's the conference coming to?
