UNLV OL Cameron Jefferson transfers to Arkansas.

He's Just Not That Into You

Cameron Jefferson is an ex-Rebel. The former UNLV offensive lineman has transferred to Arkansas. Jefferson will be able to avoid those pesky NCAA regulations requiring players to transfer to sit out a year for a couple of reasons. One is that he has graduated from UNLV. The other involves UNLV being ineligible for post-season play in 2014 because the program failed to meet the NCAA's minimum Academic Progress Rate score.

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema praised Jefferson in an official statement.

“We're thrilled to add Cameron Jefferson to the Razorback football program,” said Bielema. “As we continue to build our recruiting classes over the next few years, we will add players who fit academically, athletically and socially.  He comes from a football family with his father playing in the NFL and he worked his way into becoming an anchor for the line at UNLV.  We look forward to seeing the impact he will have at Arkansas.”

Jefferson played left tackle, right tackle, and left guard while at UNLV.
