Report: Alabama DL coach Chris Rumph to leaving to join Charlie Strong's staff at Texas.

Texas may have lost out on hiring Nick Saban as its head coach, but it has reportedly managed to get one of his coaching staff members. Alabama defensive line coach Chris Rumph is reportedly set to join the staff of new Texas head coach Charlie Strong as the Longhorns' DL coach.

Rumph joined the Alabama coaching staff in January of 2011. He served as DL coach at Clemson and as an outside linebackers coach for Memphis before that. . He was a linebacker for South Carolina from 1991-1994.

Rumph will replace Texas DL coach Bo Davis, who recently left to become defensive ends coach for new USC head coach Steve Sarkisian.
