Texas A&M suspends linebacker Darian Claiborne following arrest on drug possession charges.

From the "Things you don't want to hear the week before your bowl game" dept. comes word that Texas A&M freshman linebacker Darian Claiborne has been arrested for drug possession. Claiborne faces charges of "charges of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of less than two ounces of marijuana" following his arrest on Sunday. He was released from the Brazos County Jail after posting a $6,000 bond.

Texas A&M has suspended Claiborne, who will miss the Aggies' Dec. 31 Chick-fil-A Bowl appearance in Atlanta against Duke. He was tied for the Aggies' team lead in tackles this season.
