Michael Jordan statue in Chicago dons Northwestern football jersey.

Northwestern's attempts to rebrand itself as "Chicago's Big Ten Team"may finally be catching on.
At least to the point that the city is acknowledging the school's existence. With the Wildcats hosting Ohio State this weekend, the statue of the Windy City's greatest sports icon is showing its support.

Is this the work of Michael Wilbon an anonymous attention-seeking Northwestern fan? No, this display of support for the Wildcats comes from the Chicago Bulls franchise itself, which placed the purple jersey on MJ's graven image.

No word about how the real Michael Jordan feels about this, though he probably wouldn't be too enthused with his statue wearing a jersey produced by Under Armour.
