Texas A&M OC Kingsbury on "butt-slap incident."

While starting quarterback Johnny Manziel has been making most of the headlines this season, the Aggies' offensive coordinator has managed to attract some attention on his own. Part of that included the now-infamous "butt-slapping" incident where TV cameras caught Kingsbury slapping A&M head football coach on the well, you know.

Kingsbury recently opened up about the incident.

In the Aggies' 38-13 spanking of Mississippi State two weeks ago, Kingsbury slapped head coach Kevin Sumlin square on the hindquarters following an A&M touchdown. Hard. Sumlin turned slightly and then went about his business of leading the Aggies.

“I only did it because he tries to act super cool all of the time,” Kingsbury said, chuckling, of the moment captured by ESPN and immortalized by YouTube. “I thought I would get a reaction out of him, but he just blew me off on that deal.”

Kingsbury's success with  the Aggies' offense has garnered him even more attention, along with talk of his being a potential HC candidate for a number of potential job openings.
