The Michigan State blog Banks of the Red Cedar posted the above image of the helmet that the Spartans may be wearing against Michigan tomorrow. Yes, it seems that Uncle Phil's Misguided Children at Nike have been hard at work and have come up with an uber-shiny helmet for Sparty. In theory, this would be going on the field with whatever Nike Pro Combat alternate uni the UPMC's deranged minds can come up with.
So far Michigan St. athletic director Mark Hollis is keeping mum on whether or not this is the helmet will don tomorrow. So Michigan will have to wait and see if it needs to break out the tinted visors for their helmets.
