Derek Dooley channels Richard Nixon and Elvis at SEC Media Days.

"I am not a Derek Dooley."
Tennessee head football coach Derek Dooley has been know as being a human quote machine. But now the beleaguered HC may have bitten off more than he can chew by channeling Richard Nixon at SEC Media Days in Hoover, Al.

"It's been a tough four years at Tennessee and I know the SEC has enjoyed taking advantage of our tough times," he said to sprawling room of media members, "but you're not going to have Tennessee to kick around anymore."

But wait, there's more. His Hairness dropped in a little Elvis as well.

"Asked by the News Sentinel before the press conference what his gameplan was, Dooley said, "I'm not here to sell. It's like that old song, 'A Little Less Conversation, A Little Less Action.' That's about where we are. Selling ain't going to do me any good. We've got to go out and win."

If Dooley can't turn around a program that has best been mediocre in his two years in Knoxville, these may end being famous last words in more ways than one.
