Former Georgia head coach Vince Dooley to be inducted into Marine Corps Sports Hall of Fame.

Congratulations are in order for former Georgia head football coach Vince Dooley, who will be inducted into the Marine Corps Sports Hall of Fame on July 27. Before his coaching career began, Dooley served in the Marine Corps, rising to the rank of captain. The Hall is located in the National Museum of the United States Marine Corps near Quantico, Va.

Dooley will be joining a list of previous honorees such as former Iowa HC Hayden Fry, Olympian Bob Mathias, and baseball legends Ted Williams, Tom Seaver, and Roberto Clemente.
