Houston Nutt is an ex-Ole Miss head football coach. Or at least will be at end of season.

Reports are circulating around the internet that Houston Nutt tenure as Ole Miss head football coach will be over at the end of the 2011 season.

"Houston Nutt has been fired by the University of Mississippi as its head football coach, according to sources. Ole Miss will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. CT today to announce that Nutt will step down as head coach."

Expect most of the usual suspects to be mentioned as possible successors for Nutt (Kirby Smart, Gus Malzahn,  Mike Leach, etc.). The first one to mention Urban Meyer for Ole Miss head coach needs to be laughed off the internet.
